Reason enough to keep my hourly rate high, or maybe even increase it a bit. However, during my business negotiations I am plagued by a voice in my head that says that I cannot take the risk of being seen as 'expensive'. This can lead to many 'ehh's and unsolicited substantiation towards the customer. And that while I would advise everyone else to rank yourself highly and to focus primarily on the quality you deliver. Realizing that I had a significant growth opportunity here, I stoically practiced negotiating and confidently naming my hourly rate. Pretty uncomfortable at first, but the discomfort was gone in no time! After you get started, it's time to start photo editor comparing yourself. How have you been doing since you started posting regularly on LinkedIn that you always dreaded? Or have you started networking. Have you increased your hourly rate? Most likely you are proud and feel inspired to continue working with confidence. Look there: your confidence has grown! Focus on your growth curve and compare yourself to yours a few years ago. Be proud of your growth and use this to perpetuate your confidence in your further growth. 2. Look up constructive thoughts (so you can let the destructive ones pass) Negative thoughts, fear scenarios, and beliefs that may not be true at all, but that influence your behavior time and again.
